“Community Organizers” a Communist Front?
In Britain's The Spectator , Melanie Phillips sheds light on the "Community Organizer" movement and its founding father, Saul Alinsky, a self-styled "transformational Marxist" who dedicated his signature book to Lucifer (a wild claim to be sure, but verified by a quick perusal of this writer's personal copy). Alinsky sought to "organize" in the sense of "organizing for the revolution", and his disciples proceeded to get large quantities of federal tax dollars to pay for their seemingly-innocuous movement.
Says Phillips:
The seditious role of the community organiser was developed by an extreme left intellectual called Saul Alinsky. He was a radical Chicago activist who, by the time he died in 1972, had had a profound influence on the highest levels of the Democratic party. Alinsky was a ‘transformational Marxist’ in the mould of Antonio Gramsci, who promoted the strategy of a ‘long march through the institutions’ by capturing the culture and turning it inside out as the most effective means of overturning western society. In similar vein, Alinsky condemned the New Left for alienating the general public by its demonstrations and outlandish appearance. The revolution had to be carried out through stealth and deception. Its proponents had to cultivate an image of centrism and pragmatism. A master of infiltration, Alinsky wooed Chicago mobsters and Wall Street financiers alike. And successive Democratic politicians fell under his spell.
His creed was set out in his book ‘Rules for Radicals ’ – a book he dedicated to Lucifer, whom he called the ‘first radical’. It was Alinsky for whom ‘change’ was his mantra. And by ‘change’, he meant a Marxist revolution achieved by slow, incremental, Machiavellian means which turned society inside out. This had to be done through systematic deception, winning the trust of the naively idealistic middle class by using the language of morality to conceal an agenda designed to destroy it. And the way to do this, he said, was through ‘people’s organisations’.
Community organisers would mobilise direct action by the oppressed masses against their capitalist oppressors.
Does this all sound outlandish? Phillips devotes the rest of her article to lengthy documentation, and enlightening and all-too-reasonable read.

This should surprise no one. Barack Obama spent 20 years -- over 1,000 Sundays -- in a church whose pastor teaches "Black Liberation Theology", a racist twist on the "Liberation Theology" which swept Latin American Catholicism in the 1980s and was a front for Soviet expansionism throughout the region. Obama claims he was "never present" when his pastor taught these things, just like he denied to Bill O'Reilly that he knew that these teachings were sold in book and pamphlet form in the foyer of the church he attended for more than two decades. (And by the way: if he's that oblivious, do we really want him running the federal government?). This is who Barack Obama is: son of a radical anthropologist who openly hated America, husband of a wife who repeatedly and clearly on the stump, in speech after speech, proclaimed that she had "never been proud of her country" before somebody posted video that made it a scandal, protege of the first generation disciples of Saul Alinsky and Black Liberation Theology founder Jim Cone.
Americans don't want to believe that anyone is truly outside the mainstream (except, of course, for certain "unbiased" media folk, who continually equate Islamist fundamentalists with Southern Baptist church ladies). But why should they be surprised? This country is richly diverse, filled with every idea under Heaven. Why should it be shocking that a particularly articulate, intelligent man, raised on doctrines of hate and schooled in the methods of concealing how you really feel for political gain (true of most politicians, but especially followers of Alinsky), should rise to the brink of ultimate power?
It is not shocking at all.
But it needs to be stopped. Barack Obama is not some local "friend of the library". He is a socialist agitator. And he has a record none of his media friends are willing to divulge to the "ignorant masses" in "flyover country", whose country would be upended by his program.
