About Chris Simcox
Chris Simcox is Chairman of the Border Security Committee. He is founder and President of the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps, a national grassroots organization leading the fight to secure the U.S. border against illegal immigration, drug trafficking and terrorist encroachment. A former kindergarten teacher for thirteen years, Simcox co-founded the Minuteman movement in 2004, focusing national attention on the border security issue ultimately resulting in vastly increased border enforcement by state and federal authorities, the end of the Border Patrol's "Catch and Release" program, the deportation of thousands of illegal workers, and the construction of a seven hundred mile fence along the Mexican frontier by the Department of Homeland Security. Previous to his founding of the Minutemen, Simcox founded and led a group called Civil Homeland Defense, which assisted the U.S. Border Patrol in the apprehension and detention of thousands of illegal aliens.
